Dear patients, you may have become aware of news this week that NHS England is allowing GPs to prescribe weight loss injections (particularly Mounjaro, aka Tirzapatide) in practices.
Please note that whilst this is true on a national level, the responsibility for this service in Manchester lies with the Greater Manchester ICS (the local health board).
GMICS have yet to release any formal plans on Mounjaro for GPs but it is anticipated any time.
The practice asks patients to NOT contact the practice regarding weight loss injections.
